+ The last weekend of August will be marked by unusually violent weather, which will ruin many people's vacation plans. A severe weather breakdown, fueled by Cyclone Ulf, is approaching Poland. An undulating cold front will move through individual voivodeships, from the west to the eastern border. For residents, this means one thing: drastic cooling, heavy rainfall, and dangerous convective phenomena.

+ Saturday morning will begin with a dense cloud cover, although the sun will peek out from behind it here and there. As the hours pass, the weather will begin to rapidly escalate. A zone of rain will cover almost the entire country, carrying the risk of violent lightning strikes.

+ Record rainfall: Heavy downpours are forecast for Mazovia, Podlasie, and the Warmia-Masuria region. The main surge could locally bring several dozen millimeters of rainfall per square meter.

+ Residents of the southeastern part of the country, where the front will arrive last, will enjoy the longest, stable, rainless weather. In the evening, the sky will slowly clear from the west.

+ The synoptic map for next Saturday resembles a patchwork mosaic. Temperature differences between regions will be extreme, causing many people considerable fatigue and malaise.

+ Dynamic changes in pressure conditions will be accompanied by strong, gusty winds. Initially, it will blow from the south, then turn west and southwest after the frontal zone passes. In the lowlands, gusts will reach speeds of up to 55 km/h, but in other parts of the country, the situation will be much more serious:

+ Planning a Saturday hike in the Tatra Mountains, Beskid Mountains, or Karkonosze Mountains could prove extremely dangerous. Forecasters warn about sudden change in weather in the higher mountain ranges.

+ The last Saturday in August is traditionally a time for mass return trips. Driving through Poland in the zone of a wavy cold front will require maximum concentration and nerves of steel from drivers.

+ During the night from Saturday to Sunday, the situation in most regions will begin to stabilize. Rain will move east and north (with the longest drizzle in eastern Pomerania), and the skies over Poland will begin to clear.
