+ According to the Ministry of Sport and Tourism, the Olympic pension has been increased and, from January 2026, it is precisely 5,116.99 PLN per month. The value of this benefit is closely linked to public sector salaries. It automatically adjusts to changes in the base amount for members of the civil service, increased by a fixed multiplier of 1.8.
+ According to data from the Ministry of Sport and Tourism, 597 individuals received a pension for Olympic medalists in 2025. To receive such a pension, an athlete must meet several conditions:
+ Every Olympic medalist is entitled to a pension, regardless of their podium finish. Importantly, the Olympic pension is completely exempt from income tax and social security and health insurance contributions.
+ As confirmed by the Ministry of Sport and Tourism, the Olympic pension is the only type of financial support the Polish state provides to former medalists.
